Due to an increase in violations surrounding surcharging, ProPay Compliance would like to remind our partners that Visa may impose stiff fines for failure to comply with surcharge rules, starting at $1,000 for the first offense. If non-compliance continues, the fee may increase to $100K per month and lead to account termination.
All fines assessed by VISA will be passed along to the non-compliant party.
